Eliseo F. Soriano and his group using their Programs, continuously challenges the Iglesia Ni Cristo for a debate. Many times the INC administration answered the call but many times the challenge was turn down by Eliseo F. Soriano himself.  Given this fact they [the ADD] are the ones who consistently saying that the INC is the one that backs out and feared their group that the INC might loose. They even boast that the INC Administration is a coward! Who ever spreads that information is a liar. You have to show your evidence to support your claim before I believe you that the INC feared the Eliseo F. Soriano.

In return, here are the proofs that it is the ADD turned MCGI and Eliseo F. Soriano who feared the INC and the one who backs out and will never ever going to debate the INC on a formal basis.

Way back when the INC didn’t have the Program Ang Tamang Daan.  Eliseo F. Soriano was overconfident that the INC will not take him seriously and the INC feared him so much the it will not take any of his challenge. Here are some of his statements.

Pero kung merong lang batas na pwede kong pasukin, yung’ Central ng Iglesia ni Manalo papasukin ko ron’! Akala nyo’? Eh ginawa ng mga Apostol iyon eh na nililito yung’ mga kausap nilang Judio, hinihiya, nakikipag-tuligsaan sa mga Judio.

And here is Eliseo F. Soriano’s challenge to all the pastors of faith.

LAHAT NG PASTOR tipunin sa Luneta at tanungin at subukin kung talagang Pastor at kung masasagot ang mga tanong bawat hindi makakasagot, mag-lagay don’ ng sankalang malaki, putulan ng ulo! Para maubos ang mga Pastor, sasama ako, unang-una akong lalagay doon para maubos ang mga Pastor na manloloko. Pag-napatunayan nag-sisinungaling at nag-tuturo ng mali, Patayin!

O doon tayo sa Luneta! doon tayo sa Luneta! Ang mapatunayng nag-sisinumgaling GAROTEHEN, PUTULAN NG LEEG! Pipirma Ako, walang sasagutin ang sambayanang Pilipino! Miski sa Diyos at miski sa tao! TAO! Pipirma ko di kayo mananagot! Gusto ko PUTULAN NYO AKO NG LEEG kung hindi totoo ang sinasabi ko!!

Tatawag ako ng malaking convention ng lahat ng Pastor, lahat papapuntahin ko, mga lider. Tapos mag-lalagay ako ng maraming dinamita’t granada sa katawan ko, sumabog na tayong lahat para magka-ubos ang mga manloloko sa mundo!

Take note that it was Eliseo F. Soriano that asks the challenge to All the Pastors, and I believe that if someone says “ALL” that means any one who are able or everyone. So this means that in his challenge he is asking that every Pastors would be gathered in Luneta for a test. And this challenge didn’t only happen once. He even have this debate proposition for the INC.

But what happen after the INC accepts the challenged and puts up to Eliseo F. Soriano, here is his reply.

Lahat ng Iglesia roon ang sinasabi ko, lahat ng Ministro pupunta sa Luneta, eh hindi ko naman sinabi roon na INC hinahamon ko.

What, after all of those boasting that ALL Pastors should be gathered in Luneta you are now saying that the INC is excluded and you are not actually challenging the INC? Was the INC not included when he says ALL PASTORS? Even if he didn’t have his challenge that all pastors will be gathered still it shows that he feared the INC by saying that it is not the INC that he’s challenging, and he’ll back up if it is an INC. This is the bad dream that keeps on haunting Eliseo F. Soriano.

Even after this shameful act, Eliseo F. Soriano still manages to get away with it; he advises that he feared of not the debate but what would happen to him since he was allegedly attacked by an INC before which he could never give the details of the event. He feared that someone might get hurt if a debate will take place on a public area, he feared that something might happen to him again. This is again a clear alibi isn’t it that he’s challenge was to gather all pastors for beheading and chopping off the neck?

It is undeniable that he was just looking for an escape! But is this the only time that Eliseo F. Soriano challenges the INC then backs out after the INC take the Challenge? Here was his challenge that the INC accepted.

Kaya 'yang mga nag-a-aral-aral 'dyan sa iskuwela, naghahawak ng Biblia, marunong daw sila. Marunong ng Greek, marunong ng Hebrew, ha? Marunong sila ng Theology, yayain 'nyong lahat 'yon, patutunayan ko sa inyo totoo salita ng Dios. 'Yung pinaka-mataas ang pinag-aralan sa Theology 'yun ang iharap 'nyo sa 'kin.

But what happen after his challenge was answered? Here is what Eliseo F. Soriano’s response now.

Ngayon, may mga nagyayabang diyan marunong sa kastila, ah eh bobo! (tawanan pa ang nasa panel) Bobo! Ah eh bakit ikaw ang isusubo sa akin eh nag-aral ka 'nyan. 'Yaung puno mo! Eh hindi naman ikaw eh 'yung puno mo ilitaw mo pagkastilain mo

On this statement it seems that he now changes his challenge to anyone who has a high degree in theology.  His new challenge now is that the Head should be the one to Debate him. But was there any record that he was able to debate a head a church organization? He’s boasting his debates but all those time was he requiring them to be the head of their own religion. Why is it now that he is asking for the Executive Minister of the INC?

On March 27, 2005, at last published an ad in national newspaper asking for the Executive Minister of the INC Eraño G. Manalo for a public debate, the INC thru the Program Ang Tamang Daan answers the call by challenging Eliseo F. Soriano to settle a Pre-debate conference. However, Eliseo F. Soriano’s program panel declines and insists that a Manalo blood should represent the INC. It is a cheap trick that the ADD turned MCGI pulled since Eraño G. Manalo the Executive Minister of the INC will not stoop to his level after seeing the way he debated, instead the INC administration gave the Authority to the Ang Tamang Daan panel of Ministers headed by Maximo Bularan Jr. Here is one of the statement of Ramil Parba, one of the INC Minister.

Mula sa puno(Eli Soriano), sayo Mr. Willy, kay Danny, kay Josel, lalo na ikaw Josel, saan tayo magkikita? Pag-uusapan natin 'yung tema at hinahamon namin kayo sa isang maginoong debate sa isang plaza, i-televise natin para maliwanag.

Eliseo F. Soriano doesn’t seem agree with the proposal and runs to his cover. He doesn’t want a minister of the INC to face him on a debate, his reasoning? If the Minister of the INC looses, he says that that it is just the Minister that looses and not the INC as a whole. He asks for an Authorization Letter stating the the Minister that he will face is the one representing the INC.  What kind of reasoning is this, of course if it is a Minister of INC he is standing in the name of the INC. IF he looses then it is the INC that looses. Anyway here is the response of the Minsters of the INC just to show him that there is no turning beyond this point.

Sabihin mo kung saan tayo magkikita para sa predebate conference, pag-usapan natin 'yung tema, dadalhin ko na 'yung authorization sinasabi mo, may lagda ng kapatid na Eraño Manalo at 'yung papel 'yung hinahanap namin sayo kaylangan 'din naroon na sa paghaharap natin sa predebate conference.

Up to now, no call from Eliseo Soriano and/or from his group!

After this the ADD turned MCGI team has no other response than, “Puno sa puno”, I though that Eliseo F. Soriano’s statement is anyone? Is he leaving that statement already? Further events make it clear that Eliseo F. Soriano and the ADD turned MCGI team will not face the INC. Some of his members were able to set up a schedule in which the INC and the ADD would meet up to talk about a formal debate. However those instances were turned down by Eliseo F. Soriano, he makes sure that no debate will materialize even if his members and workers words are already in line. 

On March 3, 2004 a scheduled Pre-debate Conference was supposed to happen in residence on a subdivision in Paranque City, three (3) ADD workers confirmed to the said agreement, Marcos Mataro, Melvin Arbo and Jun Damimo but on the date of agreement there were no ADD workers found on site, the INC ministers waited until 6:00PM.

On April 26, 2004 another scheduled Pre-debate Conference was supposed to be held in Capaz, Tarlac, at 3:00PM but there are no ADD worker present despite of the agreement 4 days before that they’ll meet. The meeting was signed my Manny Antonio an ADD worker and Abraham Cruz of the INC.  INC Ministers Michael Sandoval even tries to contact the ADD and told them that they will go where they are so that the pre-debate would push through; the ADD Minister Mel Magdaraog however cannot answer the request. The Mayor of the town who supposed to be the arbiter postpones his election campaign for the day just to be there but no ADD member was there, he just told the ADD that he’ll not grant any other request from the group if their attitude is that rude.

On March 29, 2005 in Tanauan, Batangas a Pre-debate conference is already in progress when Rodel Mangiliman an ADD MIC came to stop the pre-debate conference, initially he accepts the challenge but as the rules are about to be discussed they keep on trying to change the theme and doesn’t want to accept any rules that was set. The arbiter then quits saying that if the ADD will not agree to anything then there will not be any debate. In this incident it is noticeable also that when the INC Minister tries to greet the ADD workers thru shake hands they refuse then just leave.

With those facts, surely the ADD turned MCGI are the ones who feared the INC and will not face them in a formal debate, they would even try to do anything just to make sure that any debate will not push trough between the INC and the ADD, even if the INC faced them with the Executive Minister surely they will not be present on that occasion. What does the ADD turned MCGI has to loose in facing an INC Minister when they are the ones who desperately loosing its members.

The ultimate proof that Eliseo F. Soriano will not face the INC after all those years that he brags happen on April 18, 2005 in General Trias, Cavite. It was the ADD’s Grand Pulong, Eliseo F. Soriano himself was there and was in the part of their segment… Itanong mo kay Soriano.

Joselito “Jojo” Geron, a minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo was there to ask him a Question regarding his belief on Romans 16:16, Eliseo F. Soriano was speechless and cannot answer the question. The ADD Panelist and Ministers then starts shouting but end up on a standoff between Eliseo F. Soriano and the INC Minister, Eliseo F. Soriano still with no answer shouts..

Kung aminin mong makikipagdiskusyon ka sasagutin kita!

Eliseo F. Soriano might be thinking that this INC Minister will not accept his challenge since he is in a disadvantageous location, but with the faith in God he answers Eliseo F. Soriano’s challenge and ask him…

Aminin ko raw na makipagdiskusyon ang Iglesia… Call, pagpre-debate conference!

The crowd was ecstatic to see what’s going to happen next since this is all that they are waiting for… but to their surprise Eliseo F. Soriano in a low voice answers…

SINABI KO BANG MAKIKIPAGDISKUSYON AKO SA IGLESIA, WALA NUN!

Yes that’s the truth; Eliseo F. Soriano declined his own challenge, everybody there though that there would be a debate already but to the fear of Eliseo F. Soriano, he yield and just says “WALA NUN” even though he is the one asking challenging a INC Minister for a discussion.

This is the proof that even if his own face is on the line and the challenge was already there, he himself was the one who asks for the challenge still Eliseo F. Soriano will not accept a formal debate after the INC agreed. Is the kind of Leader that would lead you to salvation? Is this the Leader that cares for his members? Eliseo F. Soriano, I dare you to come out and stop hiding in the shadow of your empty challenges. 

 - TOPIC UPDATE -

On the other hand, the INC recently held debates against two (2) religious organizations. One was from the Catholic and one from the Seventh Day Adventist, there were all held recently (August 2006).  This is a proof that that the INC ministers are qualified to debate and they are not troublemakers as Eliseo F. Soriano claim.

Both debates were able to finish in order. No one was harm in the process, the SDA’s debater Richard Thompson even commented that wherever Eliseo F. Soriano is he should face the INC.

This is a proof that the basis of why Eliseo F. Soriano that the Ministers of the INC on a debate are violent is not true, he just uses it as a scapegoat and to hide himself. But now that it is clear, there is no reason for the Eliseo F. Soriano even to his Ministers to be afraid on a friendly debate.
